Turned rosewood ashtray with brass-ringed bowl and swivelling lid, crowned by a polished brass stag.
A disc of dark turned rosewood, ringed in brass, with a lid that swivels open under a small polished stag. Closed, it is a handsome desk object that keeps ash and odour to itself; open, a generous bowl with a rest carved into the rim.
The kind of object that outlives the habit — it is equally happy holding paperclips, rings or loose change.
